Pirate Banner

My friend Adrienne's son, Caleb, just turned 8. He had a pirate-themed birthday party, so I made him this banner!

Recycled Window Pane Picture Frame

The other day, Scottie and I were driving home and saw some old window panes lying by the side of the road. Someone was throwing them away! We picked one up and brought it home, got it all cleaned up and washed the window up, and I made a picture frame out of it!

Super Bowl 2011

We had a party this year for Super Bowl. I made a table cloth football field and a few other themed decorations:

Easter 2011

Again, another late post! This past Easter we hosted family for a luncheon at our old house in Peoria. We had lots of delicious food and an easter egg hunt. I made baskets for our nieces and our next door neighbor's little girl

Scottie's Surprise Bday Party

Well this post is a little late! I wanted to get a record of it anyway. I threw Scottie a surprise birthday party in April 2010. I invited all of his favorite people from near and far. Most of his friends came from Indiana, and one friend came all the way from New Orleans. Pretty impressive! We had appetizers and drinks at Bar Louie (my best friend Kelsea helped me coordinate!) and Scottie's brother Greg and his wife Heather helped me with the coordinating of people. Heather also made a really cute photo board that captured Scottie's best moments. :)

Here's a very small part of the group!

Here's the birthday glass I made for Scottie:

DIY Wreath

I made my own wreath yesterday. I wanted to buy one and couldn't believe how expensive they were! I like that this one is inexpensive, custom, and took almost no time to make. I'm thinking about doing these for family gifts this year.

Family Christmas

Every year my husband's step-mom's family gets together for Family Christmas. We eat tons of food, play games, and the children have a gift exchange. This year I have offered to host, since we have moved to Indiana where most of the family is located. I'm very excited! I started it off right by creating this invitation. I made a few different styles using different colored paper. I just love doing this stuff!

Angie's getting married

My friend Angie is marrying the man of her dreams this Saturday. I made these items for her shower gift.

Personalized Candle with their engagement pictures....

Everything ready to go...

Close-up of the card...

I also ordered this hanger from a gal on Etsy. It says her future name - Mrs. McManomy. The point of these hangers is to hang your wedding dress from them for pictures on the day of your wedding.

Here's my best friend's hanger from her wedding to give you an idea..

Angie and her future mother-in-law and sister-in-law cried when she opened these gifts... I think she liked them! :)

Congratulations Card

I made this congratulations / money holder card for hubby's cousin who graduated high school this past May.

Yarn Flowers

Check out these yarn flowers I made for Hubby's aunt who had surgery on Monday.

I made them using this awesome flower loom I found at walmart for ~$5.97. They are so fun to make and turn out super cute. And, they don't die like fresh flowers!

Rockin' Shower Card

One of my husband's best friends, Shane, is really into rock and metal music. He and his wife, Sonya, are expecting a little girl, and we are attending a baby shower for them this upcoming weekend. I made this card to pay homage to Shane's love of rock!

My new craft room!

Having just moved to a new house (and more than doubling our square footage!) I received my very own room for crafting. It is so nice to have all my things in one place, all neatly organized. My dad and my husband built me this amazing table to do all my crafting on.

A Birthday Card fit for a Princess

One of my best friend's little girls turned 3 on August 19th! I made her this princess/castle birthday card. I designed it with Cricut Design Studio using George Basic Shapes. I saved the .cut file if anyone needs it. :)

Happy Birthday Kuper!!!

Birthday Party Banner

We threw my husband's step-mom a surprise birthday party on August 13th. My sister-in-law and I were in charge of decorations! Our color scheme was red, black, and silver. She made cute party hats for the tables, and I made place cards and this banner. A great time was had by all.
(Unfortunately when I arrived at the party, my camera's memory card was missing, so I don't have any pictures of the other decorations - hopefully someone does and I can share them later.)

Bachelorette Party Sash

I threw a bachelorette party for my best friend this summer. We went to Chicago for a Cub's game, stayed in a lavish hotel, and spent the evening downtown having a great time. I made Kels a custom bachelorette sash! I think she loved it and got hooted and hollered at the entire time. It was great fun!

Us at the game!

Bridal Shower - SATC Style!

I threw a Sex & the City themed Bridal Shower for my best friend this summer. We had the SATC movie soundtrack playing in the background, along with our favorite quotes from the show displayed in a slideshow format on the big screen. We had lots of yummy snacks and don't forget cosmo's!

"Kelsea <3's Jim" Banner -

I made rings from pipe cleaners, so here we all are sporting them!

Amazing fruit display - the strawberries and green grapes were speared and inserted into a pineapple! so cute.

My sister-in-law made several cakes shaped as purses. They tasted just as great as they looked.

Chocolate-covered pretzels were a huge hit

A Louis Vuitton inspired cake!

Cosmo's!

Here is the shower favor table. We gave out bottle openers in the shape of a high heel pump.
